A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Russell Dickenson (phayz)

Attached to Project - Frugalware
Summary - FW 0.7 installer "stops" if the non-root users' /home folder already exists
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Base system
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - i686
Severity - Medium
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - 0.7
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I recently installed 0.7 in place of what was then an existing 0.6 -current installation. As I had separated the /home partition from the other partitions I wanted to reuse this partition.

After it created a non-root account I found that the installer had run into what I guess was an infinite loop with the message "util.c:343 > - Warning: '/home/russell' already exists. None of this feedback was appearing on the "main" console, instead I had to press Alt-F3 (or whatever) to see the messages produced by the installer. At this point I chose to reboot my PC, leaving the installation complete. I completed the remaining tasks without any further problem(s).
