THIS IS AN AUTOMATED MESSAGE, DO NOT REPLY.

A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Gabor Locsei (LGee)

Attached to Project - Frugalware
Summary - hal: 'lockup' when dbus is not available
Task Type - Bug Report
Category - Base system
Status - New
Assigned To -
Operating System - i686
Severity - High
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - -current
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - Hello,

I have hal installed as a dependency of libgphoto2, but I don't use it.
When I upgraded it, the hald service was added to the runlevels automatically and started upon next boot.

Unfortunately, the entire boot process hung because hal couldn't connect to dbus, as it is not installed. (therefore severity is High)

Please make the necessary changes:
- hal shouldn't change services when I upgrade it
- rc.hald should handle the condition when dbus is unavailable
- btw the comments in rc.hald could be translated to a better English ;-)

Thanks
LGee
