Details - Hello,

'service proftpd start' will output OK even if the server is running (no status checking).

Jun 03 14:42:05 localhost proftpd[9555] localhost: Failed binding to ::, port 21: Address already in use
Jun 03 14:42:05 localhost proftpd[9555] localhost: Check the ServerType directive to ensure you are configured correctly.


Please check for the existence of the server process and/or the file /var/run/proftpd.pid before start. Or at least kill running instances first. ;-)
