I have only rc versions found on the homepage. On sourceforge.net I can 
found older packages. The last stable is 1.2.8 from July 2004. I change 
the version from 2.0.0rc8 to 1.2.8. There are no releated differences.

In what cases it's necessary to use rc versions? Do you have other 
examples than mplayer?

Sorry. I have forgotten to change this. I use pkgrel=0 for my packages 
to get the updates if there new official packages. I uploaded a new package.
