Also, if you remember, we bumped Gnome to unstable during 0.5
development... the reason this is being done is to give more time to be
able to fix things as they come with new releases rather than all at once.
Bumping to 2.17.x was also on the 0.6 TODO, see the wiki's history
BTW, I think that this attitude of "most our users don't even use it" is
really very immature and biased... jesus, tell you what, let's just rm
-rf gnome shall we and force the world to use KDE? Yeah, wonderful isn't
it...
