hello krix (and others),

yesterday i spent some time to figure out why is the following at me:

the inter-conflicts progressbar is at 100% if i install only one target
and then the hdd works, nothing happens, finally it continues. just i
would expect that once it shows 100%, it would continue almost
immediately. so i added timestamps:

$ sudo ./pacman-g2 -S csup bin86 --noprogress
:: csup-20060318-1: local version is up to date. Upgrade anyway? [Y/n]

:: bin86-0.16.17-1: local version is up to date. Upgrade anyway? [Y/n]

resolving dependencies... done.
looking for inter-conflicts...
before 1: 1187656402

before 2: 1187656434

end: 1187656434
done.

Targets: csup-20060318-1 bin86-0.16.17-1

Total Package Size: 0.1 MB

Total Uncompressed Package Size: 0.3 MB

Proceed with upgrade? [Y/n] n

in fact it seems that almost 100% of the time is spent on the first
item. so in the current form this progressbar is a bit useless. it would
be good to search where it spends this time (db_scan()?) and put it to
there

thanks,
- VMiklos
