hi,

this mail is mainly for Alex, i'm collecthing some changes done in the
last two weeks, which can be interesting for users:

- kernel-2.6.22, with its new and much better wireless and firewire
  stacks
- switched to git, now it's possible to view the history of buildscript
  without waiting minutes (random example:
http://git.frugalware.org/gitweb/gitweb.cgi?p=frugalware-current/.git;a=history;f=source/base/e2fsprogs/FrugalBuild)
- openoffice-2.2.1, the new version mainly fixes bugs and security
vulnerabilities, however some users reported problems and we're still
working on fixing it (more info: http://bugs.frugalware.org/2224)
- skype-1.4: new release after 6 months, lots of new stuff (including
  qt4, more info:
https://developer.skype.com/LinuxSkype/ReleaseNotes#head-f625df24192038db44183b5aaff558f605fd9725)

i would propose something like this for the "news" section :)

tips and tricks:
 - vim spellcheck support: http://frugalware.org/packages/544/documentation
 - qemu (vnc, socket controll and redirecting tricks):
   http://frugalware.org/packages/875/documentation

i hope it can be a good base for your work :)

thanks,
- VMiklos
