[Frugalware-devel] mini-benchmark: qemu vs uml

shightly offtopic, maybe interesting. i've recently played a bit with
uml (writted a README.Frugalware for it) and i've did the following
benchmark:
1) compiling binutils on the host (512mb of memory):
==> Elapsed Time: 301 seconds
2) uml (128 mb of memory):
==> Elapsed Time: 798 seconds: 37% of real
3) qemu with kqemu (128 mb of memory):
==> Elapsed Time: 900 seconds: 33% of real
-> it was a bit surprisint to me, i thought that if uml can run only
linux, then it'll be much faster :)
