[Frugalware-devel] OOo vs. KDE vs. accented filenames

Hi devels,

can we do anything against that bug? feature? of OOo's KDE filepicker panel 
which doesn't allow to save acceptable accented filenames? I mean if I give 
eg. "SÉRTŐK.ods" for the name of the file, I get "S%C9RT%D5K.ods" in the 
filesystem, and if I open it afterwards, even OOo itself can't display 
correctly the accents in the title bar.

To stir this troubled water a bit more, I have more problems with accented 
filenames. If I issue a "mv S%C9RT%D5K.ods SÉRTŐK.ods", I can't even use it 
as an address list in step 3 of the mail merge wizard (weird, as the file 
remains openable). If I rename it back to "S%C9RT%D5K.ods", it can be used 
without (more) glitches.

PS. If I were online I would have filed a bug report instead of this message.
