If you think is not what style of 'depends' check should be used :
 	1a) using depends=(' ') instead of depends=('')
 	1b) using # no depends() in FB (so a commit message)
	1c) other ideas ?

I don't think depends=(' ') is stupid the result is the same anyway.

I also think your patch is ok , we should check for depends= in FB's.

That said I'm for whatever solution is adding actually an check but I'm not really sure about the 'style'
Anyway your 2) or 1a) :p is fine for me.
