That example is exactly what one should _NOT_ do that way.

To workaround that  you can remove the  gnome-python-desktop=$pkgver subdepend from
gnome-python-desktop-wnck , add a note to FB about and fix the reverse depends , if any.

Adding conflicting packages for that is broken crap.
