Over the past few days I again installed 1.3rc1 (?) on my MSI Wind
U200. Since kernel 2.6.35 had already been merged, my installation
included it. I again found that the wireless chipset would not work
unless I created a symlink to "trick" the driver into loading the
firmware available in the ralink-firmware package. I was nervous at
first but on Saturday and Sunday I successfully connect to my wireless
access point at my home and X has not frozen once. As you suggested,
pete, maybe there was a driver conflict which has been resolved?

I'll keep using the wireless, of course, and report any issues in the BTS.

May you always be Frugal,

Russell Dickenson (AKA phayz)
