A new Flyspray task has been opened. Details are below.

User who did this - Finn (-eye)

Attached to Project - Frugalware
Summary - gnome-scriptlet improvement -> let pacman check
Task Type - Feature Request
Category - Base system
Status - Unconfirmed
Assigned To -
Operating System - i686
Severity - Medium
Priority - Normal
Reported Version - -current
Due in Version - Undecided
Due Date - Undecided
Details - I noticed several times that some applications are missing icons, caused by a missing _F_gnome_iconcache=1 entry in FrugalBuilds.
This is more serious problem in -current or when you update applications.
Now, the idea to remove this annoyance came up to my mind today: let pacman check if the package(s) is/are from the group gnome-* and if it is the case, then execute all the commands from gnome-scriptlet.install AFTER the whole update (or the single package).
So you can forget about that option in FrugalBuilds to add, the installation of many packages would be faster because the commands are only run once, and all icons would be present too.
Letting pacman check wether a package from gnome-* is in the list of installing packages shouldn't be that hard to implement i guess.
Whats your opinion about that?
